who moved my cheese?

a few months ago, i promised to share with you some of the ebooks that i've read. i've been so caught up work and everything that i wasn't able to follow through with that promise. (sorry) truth is, i hadn't even updated this blog for a long time. sigh. anyhoo, the first on the list is entitled "Who Moved My Cheese" by Spencer Johnson. Image from Google it's actually more of a self-help kind of read. it is a very short (the hard copy is real thin) and simple story but can have a profound impact on the reader. "who moved my cheese" is a storybook on dealing with change/s in our lives. and i have to say that this book has a way of uncovering your desires and questioning your beliefs. so if you're up for the read, click me so you can get it . Enjoy!

the reader in me

supermom fact 81 : i love reading a good book! i could just happily spend an entire day with a thick book. but don't get any wrong idea coz i won't even dare call myself a bookworm (i do wish i can). so it's a shame to admit that i actually haven't crossed the threshold of the so-called literary masterpieces. nope, not even the classics. wait, what? i suck? yeah, i know . in my defense though, i did read Around The World in 80 Days and i seriously think it was good. so you see , my taste in books is not that bad. (heh!)

i am beautiful (no matter what the mirror say!)

after the blog revamp, i  was able to spend some time revisiting my blog list. i've been following most of these bloggers since i started while some i added just weeks ago. i started blogging around 2007 (on and off) but all these years, not once have i blogged about BEAUTY.  not a single topic even remotely related to it. beauty products like make-up, care lines (y'know like facial care, nail care, hair care, the works), clothes, and fashion. not even accessories! nobody knows this but i like beauty and fashion (shhh!). maybe much less than other people do coz it may seem like it isn't my sort of thing but yes, i enjoy looking at them (window shopping and catalogue browsing) and reading about 'em too (oh, beauty blogs!). the only two things i rarely do are 'TRY them' and 'BUY them'.

Barney Craze!

i can't remember but i guess ezra's fascination with barney started like a few weeks back. and since non-cable tvs only have at most 2 barney shows a day, i decided to buy him the dvd collection so he can watch it anytime he wants. i can still remember the night i brought home that dvd, he got this really huge smile on his face paired with his trademark..."WOW!!!" yup. he says that all the time. i almost always make it point to bring him something (pasalubong) every night after work, and i almost always get this "wow" expression of his. makes me feel good as well, knowing he appreciates every little thing i get for him. :) so anyway, everytime he wishes to watch his favorite show, he just comes up to anyone at home and say "...arney!" yup. no "b". he still has a couple months before he turns two so he's not that good yet with words and phrases, but he sure is doing a great job in expressing his needs and wants thru actions and keyword...

Bake that CAKE!

Almost everyone i know knew i have a long list of frustrations...from childhood dream and hobbies to college course and dream jobs. but right now, one of those frustrations was triggered again---baking. yeah dude, i love baking. or make that "i love the thought that im good with baking!". all my life, i've wanted so much to learn how to cook, bake, and design. we have these cabinet at home half-filled with cooking/baking books and recipes, but i just didn't have the time and the tools to try them. anyway, i would love to try baking sometime. cake baking and designing to be more specific. i've been spending the last few days browsing some sites (yeah, the power of no pressure again! :p) that might divulge/reveal some self-help learning tips and techniques without having to enroll myself into some kind of culinary school. i've also wanted to try culinary before but time is never a luxury for me. now, im quite inspired to try and overcome(?) this frustration of m...
